emitSMS plugin bug fix

Here’s a new version of the Address Book plugin for SMS sending, with a small bug fix intended to stop it hanging after sending an SMS. If you’ve seen this problem with earlier versions, please let me know if this version has fixed it or not :)

    Great work!
Now the hanging-after-send problem is gone!
Thank you a lot for the useful effort.

Thanks, this is a long-expected addition to Address Book.

Would it be possible to archive sent sms’ as textfiles in a folder, since most phones do not save messages sent through gsm?

Anyway – thanks for this great tool :-)

It is actually possible, using the GSM AT command set, to save the messages on the phone as they are sent. I might implement this functionality in the future but I don’t have much time to work on it at the moment because of college…

Thanks for this nice tool, but there is one little nit: I have entered the phone-numbers with dashes, but that leads to “+CMS ERROR: 500″ for my Nokia 6300. If the dashes in the number are removed, everything’s fine. Example: +49-177-1234567 does not work, +491771234567 works. Would it be possible to take the number from the address book and strip everything except digits and an optional leading + character? Or do I really need to modify my whole address book? TIA. :)

Check out the latest post, I’ve made the plugin strip out dashes and spaces in such a way that your phone numbers should now work.

Asks for port but the only port available is Nokia 5800 via dial up networking and that does not work.
